The Ladygroove Retreat Experience is an integrated mix of depth & levity that brings healing to the bodies & minds of those who are remembering the truth. When we realize that “fine” is not good enough & that booking this retreat is an act of rebellion in a world asking for more of their time & energy but less of their true selves. The Ladygroove Experience is designed for changemakers. Eros explorers. Those devoting their lives to becoming through all of their dreams: no longer through fear but through love & play. The Ladygroove Retreat Experience is visual alchemy. Humans remembering who the fuck they are. Ladygroove is the Invisible Midwife: birthing your attendees’ visual testimonials through my lens. This is a transformation not just a photoshoot. Giving people permission to feel the strength of their erotic power w/o the need for manipulation or validation. A disconnection from the slime of shame and reconnection to self & others through art.

We begin with ceremony. Attendees will be lead through a group body blessing/ritual that will guide them deeper into an internal sense of safety & self love. This is a reclamation. I hold them while they hold themselves. This process begins to open their bodies & hearts in preparation for a 2o minute individual ladygroove experience on the retreat grounds. Clothing optional. This is where people move from fear to love. People are seen (emotionally & physically) in a way they have always wanted. By me & most importantly by themselves.
Attendees are emailed prior to the retreat w/ a warming welcome letter & guidance on what kind of props to bring. up to 10 individuals can be photographed in one day w/ the option to add an additional day. A group photoshoot (as seen on IG) is an additional way to create wild joy, connection, & play. {{ I want them to FEEL the importance of adding the group session. People feel a deep sense of empowerment & connection after creating together with their new friends. I create the session to take them through somatic exercises of sensual touch with nature as well as the bodies of the other participants. Participants are able to open to vulnerability more easily bc they feel the backing and support of the others. Moving from me to we through art.

My liberation began with a proverbial snake around my neck in 2015. Sexual shame, Emotional repression, disordered eating, people pleasing my way into love, the whole she-bang. Until one day in an old silver honda civic on a mundane Monday I looked that snake in the eye & said “go ahead and fucking kill me.” & the energy unfurled.
This was the beginning of Ladygroove.
I was bored to tears shooting traditional boudoir, disconnected from my Eros & healing from complex PTSD. I had a 20 year resume of hating my body: & myself. When I asked women what they loved about their bodies prior to shooting boudoir most of them would point to the parts they didn’t like. “lets hide my stretch marks”. i wept. We other our body parts but really we are disconnected from our own love & acceptance. I became disgusted with the dishonesty of photoshopping womens bodies. So I stopped. I became bored with surface level boudoir. We are multi-dimensional & our full spectrum Erotic nature should be reflected in this medium. So I added food. I invited women to eat in front of the camera. We began slathering bodies w/ lemons & flowers & most importantly w/ tenderness. I slowed down the process. We went deeper emotionally. We didn’t become provocative intentionally we just became unhinged from what a society says a photoshoot is “supposed to look & feel like.” Why can’t I put the most gorgeous flowers between my legs & make my body become a vase? Why can’t I squeeze pomegranates over my naked frame, paint myself, pour water over my glittery bum? ((I don’t love the last examples…can we flesh this out so that people really imagine themselves playing?))Why can’t I become the next version of myself through creation & PLAY? You can. I’ve made a way for your shameless expression. To cultivate your curiosity. & to safely soften into the arms of love/acceptance with other badasses who believe that THEY TOO ARE WORTH IT. They too are not crazy. They too are onto something that no one has seen or experienced but they KNOW IT IN THEIR BEING. Of course you can. Of course you will. Of course you are. The ladygroove Experience brings the good news.

Portland sessions are $1050. 10 final digital images. 2 hour session. A body blessing. Play with props & your body. You can add a roll of medium format film for $200.

I approach photography much like oil painting or any other fine art form. An emphasis on quantity over quality is not the Ladygroove way. Sessions come with 10 final images but you are welcome to purchase more! High quality prints are available to purchase from your online beautiful gallery!

Yes. I offer photo printing from your shoot. You can order prints directly from the gallery I send you with your final images.
